Like most teenage girls, I have ten billion articles of clothing that like to jump out of my closet and onto my bedroom floor. And in most households like mine, a messy room does not fly with the mother. "Clean your room, Jocelyn" is honestly said as much as "I love you". (she would kill me for saying that). When the epic battle of cleaning my bedroom begins, it starts off with yelling and lots of questions. "Why don't you put your underwear in the drawers?" or "Make up does not belong on the bed!" And the thing is, I don't even like having a messy room! Or being yelled at!
But one does not simply clean their room without finding an old picture or secret note to reflect on for fifteen minutes. I can't listen to music when I clean my room either, because if my song comes on, I'm in my own music video and no one can touch me. Please tell me I'm not the only girl this happens too!! Sometimes I walk in my room and think "Jocelyn your room would look so cute if you cleaned it!" but then I'm like "Maybe later I gotta go watch The Carrie Diaries". I get distracted a lot. I need a list of this to do and little games to play while I'm cleaning the black hole I sleep in.

- Put down your phone genius, nothing happened on Facebook.
- No that piece of Halloween candy is not edible
- You've seen the ceiling a million times, quit looking at it.
- That essay from three years ago is trash
- This is not the time to pick out tomorrow's outfit
- Stop banging hangers together to make it sound like your cleaning
